Radio
Since 2013, I’ve hosted and self-produced over 170 live-to-air shifts, representing 700+ hours of independent broadcast operation. This included a permanent shift called Henhouse, Thursdays 6-10am (2014-2018), and casual fill-ins. Programming was almost exclusively music, with Station Continuity and Public Service Announcement breaks. See recent playlists.
I worte, directed and produced a series of KFJC’s weekly Concert Outlook and annual station fundraiser spots.
Radio interviews tend to be aimed at a general audience, who may not have prior knowledge of the subject. The goal then, is to hold and steer a conversation on behalf of the audience, prompting the subject to say interesting things about themselves.
KFJC website – I completely redesigned it for the first time in 15 years. The layout better suits modern desktop and mobile form factors; content is more accessible; and listen time on the first-party popup player (which I also redesigned) increased 2.5x with the new layout.
KFJC Android App – I built a native Android app to access KFJC’s live stream, playlists and two-week archive of recent shows. It has an average rating of 4.8 stars and ~1000 installs on active devices.
